Every time we try to record her talking, Joey talks louder. Oh well, I am sure I will want her to stop talking when she's a teenager! You will have to pause the other music.
Kevin and I met at a BYU dance in 2001. We didn't begin dating until 2002 but when we did, it was a fairy tale. We have a fun and loving boy named Joey and a sweet and sassy little girl named Emma. We love our family, we love the gospel, and the Savior, and we love all of our friends. We hope you have fun reading of our adventures.
9/18/09- Every night we show Joey a picture of the prophet, Thomas S. Monson. This night we asked him if he could tell us who this was. Joey says, "His name, Prophet Thomas the Tank Engine." We'll keep working on it.
8/2009- Joey is potty trained
7/2009- Emma crawls
2/16-Joey: "Mami, Mami, Joey Scared." Mami: "Why, Joey?" Joey: "Ghost, upstairs, Joey's room" I think we are done watching Monsters Inc.
2/15/09-Joey sang "I am a Child of God"
12/05/08- Joey USED to go on time out in the bathroom because it worked but now its the corner. I was using the restroom and he came in, closed the door, and said: "Time Out, Mami. Be nice."
10/29/09- Every time we have family prayer (morning, meals, or night) we ask Joey if he would rather have "Daddy or Mommy" say prayer. He always says Daddy which is so funny, but this time we threw him a curve ball and included his name in the options. He actually said "Joey" so we gave it a shot. He repeated what I told him to say and finished his first prayer. He was so pleased with himself. He has now said two prayers and keeps his arms folded the whole time, but we are still working on eyes closed. It was such an amazing experience to hear the small voice of a child pray.
